Pattern & Layout Project
Bea Feitler was the AIGA award winner I chose to design a poster and pattern for. The AIGA winner of 1989, was originally from Rio De Janeiro. She was known for her many well-known magazines she shaped, including Harpar Bazaar and Rolling Stones, and Self to name a few. Feitler was known for her bold color combinations, mixed media, harmony & rhythm, pattern & texture. The graphic designer and art director was also famous for crossing styles of punk and glamour. She worked with many photographers and helped to launch the prototype magazine, Self.
The concept of my project was to create a poster and pattern design that would represent an AIGA award winner, who would be coming to speak at SCAD. The limited edition poster design would be posted around the campus. After the presentation the attendees would receive a gift with the limited edition pattern design I created, which is seen on a bag and gift box mockup.
